16 bands will perform on the stage of this year’s Mindya Rock Fest. “The Bulgarian Woodstock” as it’s known among its admirers, takes place from 28 to 30 August at the central square of Mindya village. The event has been organised since 2009, by the political science professor Evgeniy Dainov and his friends from Mindya Rock Fest Foundation. The first night of the fest features five young bands, among them Kontrabanda (Razgrad) and Sofia-based Sunday and Grimaze. They will have to impress the audience and the jury in order to win the prize – free of charge recording session in professional studio. The last night of the fest on 30 August features Atlas from Turkey, Cotton Pickers from Serbia and Vasko (The Patch) Krapkata and Poduene Blues Band.
Entrance to the festival is free.
