Starting a volunteer campaign supporting Veliko Tarnovo 2019

The recruiting of a volunteer corps is starting that will support initiatives related to the application of Veliko Tarnovo for European Capital of Culture. The campaign will promote volunteering as a form of social and community engagement.

Among the first to be included was Ahmed Kuitov, President of the Student philosophical club that will promote the idea among the students participating in the program "Erasmus". Irina Pencheva, Nikola Zhivkov, founder of the informal legal club at the Law Faculty of the University "St. Cyril and Methodius", the seniors Gabriel Savchev and Miroslav Monchev of the School of Architecture, who are eager to promote the cause among their peers at home and abroad.

It is expected that about 1,000 volunteers be involved in the preparation of Veliko Tarnovo for European Capital of Culture in 2019, the core of the team will consist of 300 people who are involved as volunteers in various community initiatives so far. They, like all people of Tarnovo who are committed to the cause, can offer ideas, events, projects and initiatives on the email idea@vt2019.eu.

People willing to volunteer can register on enlist@vt2019.eu. By accessing a special bulletin, the volunteers can choose a specific initiative or event in which they can involve themselves and find out how they can implement their support.
