Veliko Tarnovo with ProCultura award
Veliko Tarnovo Municipality received an award for providing of access for the young people to culture. The prize is part of this year’s ProCultura awards of the Bulgarian Association of the Employers in Culture (BAROK), Bulgarian Association of Youth Workers (BAMR), Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Science, Civic Institute. Veliko Tarnovo received the award in “Municipalities” category for its contribution to the National campaign for providing of access to culture for the young people.
The award ceremony took place on 12 August 2014 – United Nations International Youth Day at the 2nd National Conference for Providing of Access to Culture for the Young People. The category for providing of access to culture for the young people of ProCultura awards is presented for the first time, there were a total of 41 nominations in 7 categories. Veliko Tarnovo Municipality was awarded for its contribution to the campaign for integration of young people in culture activities, based on the following criteria: encouraging of creative activities among young people, contribution to the development of partnerships between creative industries and young people, engagement of young people from different social strata in cultural activities.
