Jazz festival is turning seven

Funky, Groovy, Dixie, jazzy-this is the official style of the seventh "Dixie Jazz Fest" 2014 in Veliko Tarnovo. Three nights, with jazz, funk, mighty appearances of young musical projects and serious international presence will be from 10 to 12 July.

The event is part of the program for the city's candidacy for European capital of culture 2019. It is organized by the Foundation "Dixie Jazz Fest" Veliko Tarnovo, Veliko Turnovo municipality, with the support of the Foundation "America for the Bulgarian". Nine bands, some of which are returning for the second time, will embark on the most beautiful open-air stage with authentic decor near the monument of the “Asenevtsi” monument in the old Bulgarian capital.

Jazz Fiesta, which guarantees over 10 hours of quality music and more virtuosic jam sessions, launched on 10 July at 19: 30. with the opening of the traditional exhibition of captures, from the cameras of the Turnovo hills photographers hot moments from last year's Festival. Beginning of the concerts will give the hosts from Royal Dixie Band, guests from neighboring Serbia Kochetov Quintet and the musicians of the young born project High Time. On the second night of the stage catalogue Dixie – Boys Band, arriving for the second time, especially for Tarnovo Festival, Romanians from Sebastian Spanache Trio and group Southwick.

The finale for fans of quality original music will play Danny Webb Quartet and special guest from Turkey their Caner Captan-contrabass, Strings of Switzerland and Swing even the pets of the Tarnovo audience-soul crowd. Tri O Five with guest musician Prea.

And the three Festival concerts in the evenings continue in Club "Mellon" with jam sessions that begin at midnight. All events of the Festival are free to the public.
