Kids and parents enjoyed themselves in a workshop to support our candidacy for European Capital of Culture.

Dozens of families with their children enjoyed themselves in Park "Kolyu Ficheto", where guest cardboard workshop. The initiative of the Office to support the candidacy of Veliko Tarnovo for European Capital of Culture in 2019 is the idea, borrowed from the United States. There are similar on the very popular, and their goal is to develop the creativity and imagination of children, and their skills to cut, bend over and decorate.

"A workshop does not require a lot of materials – these are boxes and other cardboard boxes, scissors, duct tape and marker pens. Already we see at least 10 types of houses that children, with the help of their parents, who have no less of them", said Ivelina Ruseva from the Office to support the candidacy of Veliko Tarnovo for European Capital of Culture for 2019.

The idea of the Office's initiatives to come out of the Centre of the old capital and routed to the neighborhoods. So children and their parents will be able to enjoy the outdoors and at the same time to create.

Today's cardboard workshop ended with the exhibition, a major part of the kids took home-made creations. One of the next will be held on a wider area, where it will be distributed and prizes for the most original and creative works.
