The parks of Veliko Tarnovo in focus Conference on CultTour

Exhibition "The parks of Veliko Tarnovo" will be inaugurated on June 20 from 10: 00 am. in front of the Faculty of Visual Arts. An hour later, in the Conference Hall of the “Rafael Mihailov” exhibition halls will launch Conference on the same topic. . Both events are on the project "CultTour – cultural heritage as (garden) focal points for sustainable tourism"  Veliko Tarnovo municipality and are dedicated to the city's candidacy for European capital of culture for 2019. The Conference will be presented an analysis of the status of successful practices of parks and the socialization of open spaces in the four pilot sites involved in the project CultTour: Bulgarian, Veliko Tarnovo – Park "Boruna"; Greece, Alexandroupolis-Independence National Park; Italy, Taranto – Peripato gardens; Romania, Sibiu – the summer residence of Samuel von Brukenthal.  Will discuss results of investments studies and ideas for the development of the Park "Boruna"; the role of the parks in the tourist routes and the implementation of the pilot model for culture outdoors of Veliko Tarnovo municipality, as well as a historical retrospect to "Hanging gardens of Tarnovo". The project "CultTour – cultural heritage as (garden) focal points for sustainable tourism" is accomplished thanks to the interregional cooperation programme INTERREG IV B, funded by the European Union, in the framework of the European territorial cooperation and Of South East Europe transnational cooperation programme, co-financed by the European regional development fund.
