Veliko Tarnovo is included in the campaign "Earth Hour"

Veliko Tarnovo will again be incorporated into the global campaign "Earth Hour". In support of the global initiative, hundreds of candles will be lit on March 29th (Saturday) from 20.30 h in front of  the drama and music theater "Konstantin Kisimov".

During the "Earth Hour", people from all over the world symbolically put out the lights in their homes for one hour thus calling for a more sustainable future. In the intervening years, the initiative has transformed into a global movement, whose purpose is to demonstrate the commitment of people to environmental issues, and that the change depends on the small steps that each of us does on a daily basis. So in 2013 in the campaign was attended by over 7,000 cities and municipalities in more than 150 countries around the world.

This year's "Earth Hour" is supported by the project of Veliko Tarnovo – candidate for European Capital of Culture 2019 and the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo.
